The way I saw the world around me changed dramatically after I purchased my first camera. I was in my late twenties, and it was as if I had grown a new pair of eyes. I began to see things on a much more personal and vibrant level – the details hidden inside a flower, the multitude of colors and patterns in a sunset, the changing light and its effect on the contrast and depth in the landscape, the shapes, lines, and patterns present in the world of architecture – all of these things had a new energy when I viewed them through my camera. This vitality is what I try to capture with my photographs.

The majority of the photos that you’ll see on this web site were taken with my 35mm Nikon FM film camera using both print and slide film. That, however, is quickly changing. I recently made the leap into the world of digital photography, and now most of my photographic work is done with either a Nikon D90 DSLR camera or a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS digital camera. Please visit my Flickr Photostream to view more of my recent work.
