Serve & Surf has been a dream and vision for Stephanie Hanson for many years. Essentially to not just give out things to help people who can’t help themselves but to give people the tools and education and support necessary to provide for themselves. It was knowing that we wanted to be a part of solutions to specific needs to the community by supporting and developing opportunities for individuals through tools and education to create a platform by which would enable them to start cottage industries to provide for themselves and their families.

The Mission and Purpose of Serve and Surf is to provide a platform for as many like-minded partners as possible by being professional and transparent with the ultimate goal of seeing our whole community changed through love, education, and a sense of hope and restoration creating sustainable communities! The local area of Nicaragua has a population of 3,500 people and over 90% of them are bringing in a combine family monthly income of under $200 a month and in a lot of cases much less.

Serve & Surf main and target goal is to create awareness and educate the public and community about human rights issues. We offer opportunities for groups and individuals to book trips to Nicaragua and lodge at Serve & Surf campus. The funds paid for trips goes directly into better education resources, training, evaluations, to serve the community in a holistic and grass roots approach and provide opportunities for the community people to invest back into their communities through self supporting services to sustain themselves and their families.
