Assistance for Widows

For the first time I realized why God speaks in the bible about helping the widows and children.  I met Melissa a 30 year old widow mother of 4. Her children range from 2-14.  She walked 2.5 hours to ask for food up and down dirt roads toting 3 of them with her.  She’s truly stuck! I just couldn’t accept that.. Melissa is the inspiration for most of commitment to not just give this community a fish but teach them to Fish!

• Food – food is always a need.  Our goal is to teach the community how to grow pure vegetables and herbs.  Teach them how much they can make from a coconut.  There is so much nutrition in the vegetation and with proper education they will learn to utilize it.
• Shelter – most do not have a home and for the ones that do, it’s not very safe.  The roofs cave in on them and the rain floods and ruins anything they have.  There is no air-conditioning, doors, or showers.  All they really want is a roof over their heads.  For $5,000 we can build and furnish a safe place for them to call home!
• Education – sewing, cooking
