Food Sensitivity Screening

It is no surprise that there is an abundance of processed foods readily available in our food supply. Think about it.. You probably swung by the local fast food restaurant in the morning to grab breakfast on your way to work. You’re pressed to meet a work deadline, so you run down to the break room and grab a snack from the vending machine instead of going to lunch. After a long day of work, you open up the freezer and throw your dinner in the microwave.

All of these scenarios, suggest that we have become accustomed to finding the easiest and convenient solution when it comes to our meal choices, but that is not necessarily the healthiest decision.

According to the National Cancer Institute, “Chronic inflammation can cause DNA damage and lead to cancer. For example, people with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease, have an increased risk of colon cancer.”

When it comes to food sensitivity, people immediately think of foods like peanuts, shellfish and other foods that cause an immediate response. The reality is what you eat today does not cause symptoms immediately. On average it takes 2-3 days for symptoms to appear, which is when the food passes through your intestines and causes an auto-immune response.

Healthy Testing Solutions’ Food sensitivity test detects the presence of 118 food sensitivities spanning over 12 categories of food. Participants receive a customized report detailing sensitivity per each food.

Any of the following symptoms could be a result of food sensitivity, if you experience any of the following, you could benefit from a food sensitivity screening.  (Roll over images for more info)

Benefits of Food Sensitivity Testing

  • Helps determine if food reactions are contributing to physical or mental symptoms
  • Removal of highly reactive foods from the diet is a non-invasive, food-based therapy that often mitigates a patient’s symptoms
  • Research and clinical studies suggest food allergies identified by testing can be a major contributing factor in many chronic health conditions
  • Food rotation and elimination diets can reduce stress on the immune system, lower gut inflammation, resolve food cravings, and reduce the potential for eating disorders
