Yangtze Music Festival

In Sep. 2015, CAMAC worked with our partner Chinese Musicians’s Association to bring Hollywood’s go-to piano master Randy Kerber to China to play a sold out solo concert at the Yangtze Music Festival. As China’s premiere piano music festival, YMF brings together more than 500 top pianists from around the world to the city of Yichang for 7 days (and nights) of non-stop concerts and competitions right by the Yangtze River. Dozens of national and international Pop, Rock, Jazz and World music acts also take the stage during the festival at various venues and indulge the people of Yichang in a feast of sounds.

Randy has worked on over 800 movies and was nominated for an Oscar for The Color Purple. He was also nominated for a Grammy for his arrangement of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for Barbra Streisand and was the Musical Director and Arranger for the Barbra’s HBO Special, “One Voice”. He played keyboards on Man in the Mirror for Michael Jackson including the iconic opening synthesizer sound which starts the song. He played keyboards on Tears in Heaven for Eric Clapton.

He worked with and played on many movies for John Williams including, but not limited to: Angela’s Ashes (piano solos), The Adventures of Tintin, The Terminal, JFK, Nixon, Home Alone (celeste solos), Harry Potter I, II, & III (celeste solos), Star Wars episodes 4,5, & 6 and currently recording episode 7, The Book Thief (piano solos), Lincoln (piano solos).

He played and orchestrated for James Horner for the following films: Titanic, A Beautiful Mind, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Mask of Zorro, Flightplan, Troy, Windtalkers, The New World.

He played piano on Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story 1-3, Monsters Inc., A Bug’s Life, Parenthood, Awakenings, Forrest Gump (piano solos), Back to the Future 1-3, Father of the Bride 1-3, Contact, Flight, Death Becomes Her, etc.

Ordos World Music Carnival

As over 100 musical acts from a dozen countries played every weekend for 3 weeks (7/18 to 8/3), over 100,000 concert goers stood under the blue sky and starry nights on grassland and through Mongolian rain storms to immerse themselves in this music carnival of historical proportions. Musicians from the U.S., Russia, France, Indonesia, Austria, Malaysia, Mongolia and many more brought a taste of their country to the fest while Chinese folk, pop, punk, metal, DJ and dance acts set the grassland on fire (not literally) night after night.

CAMAC brought Domonique Jackson, Jeremy Thurber, Lavender Diamond and Emily Wells to OWMC

As the hottest performing new generation Jackson from the Jackson family, Domonique is hard at work preparing for the release of his first EP.  It’s one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2015. With Jackson’s heavy influences from artists like Zedd, Justin Timberlake and Elton John, along with a world class production team, he is able to craft a unique sound of his own: soulful electro-pop music you can dance to!

Jeremy is a prolific songwriter, singer, dancer and charismatic live performer. He has opened for teen idols like Jennifer Hudson and Jake Miller, and has written for many top Asian artists. He’s recently had top 40 radio success writing for international and domestic acts such as Sarah DeBono “Oasis”, The Common Kings “Thunder & Lightning”, and most recent and notable Jake Miller”Collide”. He’s also penned international platinum selling songs like TVXQ’s “Champion” off their latest album TREE (No.1 in many countries). Since OWMC and KCon, Jeremy has also done an interview and a live acoustic set on the Lance Bass show and is now confirmed to open for Midnight Red at the Social Slam Awards!

Lavender Diamond’s performance started in pouring rain and ended in screaming applause. For three times the crowd mysteriously disappeared into the downpour and came back when the water became bearable (where do you hide where there’s no structure in sight anyways?). Though the band did have to start in the rain, a couple songs into the set the rain tapered off, then stage lights came on, then the jumbo tron, then full back wall lights. The crowd resurfaced from the darkness and gathered around the stage and found themselves intoxicated in Becky’s signature angelic voice. It was MAGICAL!
