Great Lakes Kung Fu Championships 2017

Great Lakes Kung Fu Championships 2017. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the tournament. This year’s event will have special VIP guests and Grandmaster appearances. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity. The Great Lakes Kung Fu Championshipsm is the Great Lakes Region’s hot spot for traditional Chinese Martial Arts action. Over 150 divisions of traditional northern, southern, internal, weapons, light contact sparring and Shuai Chiao (Chinese Wrestling). Shifu Richar Tolson

Shifu Richar Tolson will give a seminar on the Taiji Mei Hua Praying Mantis style form called Zhi Lu. Shifu Tolson is master teacher and has over 40 years experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from this great Kung Fu Teacher. Zhi Lu – “Points the Way” is a mantis form created by the legendary Hao Lianru (1864-1914). It is one of the first mantis forms taught in the Grand Ultimate Plum Flower Praying Mantis Boxing of the Hao family. It combines the unique elements of Hao family fighting with techniques found in the Plum Flower Road (Meihua Lu) form of mantis created by Jiang Hualong and Song Zide. Seminar date – Sunday April 23 at Maple Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio Everyone from all styles are welcome, no previous experience required. $50 per person Exact time has not been determined just yet. 9am is just an estimate.

 

Sifu Daniel Eckart

Sifu Daniel Eckart will teach the form Jun Sam Mun Kune. Pak Mei’s Jun Sam Mun Kune is a short but dynamic fighting set with direct and devastating application. Focusing on the Pek Choi and Lam Choi techniques. The form was developed to teach practical application to large groups of people in a short period of time. We will cover the form in its entirety as well as multiple application and some two person drills to enhance the understanding of the set. Seminar date – Sunday April 23 at Maple Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio Everyone from all styles are welcome, no previous experience required. $50 per person Exact time has not been determined just yet. 9am is just an estimate.
