On April 5th, our Sawabona Association was invited by GetItGirl for a girl talk! We had the pleasure to meet with Vivi Tomasi, Fiona Rene and Ana Marte to talk about philanthropical causes, women empowerment and all the amazing organizations that are working on inspirational projects with a beautiful purpose!
Get It Girl is an all-millennial, all-girl talk show on LATV, that stands for female empowerment and progressive ideas through candid discussions on trending topics, personal experiences and relationships. Get It Girl offers informative exchange of opinions, honest conversations about serious subject matter, as well as humorous chats about light-hearted topics!
What Sawabona loves most about GetItGirl is the beauty of diversity represented by three multifaceted girls with different voices, cultural backgrounds, nationalities and one thing in common: they stand for women empowerment!
On the show, we were all wearing denim in support to “Denim Day” and the victims of sexual and domestic violence. We discussed the projects we are currently working on, such as the “Sleep Out Night” and all the organizations that we collaborate with in order to spread awareness and create a bigger impact on causes of common interest, like Peace Over Violence, The Covenant House and MyIntent.
In the end, we gave each one of the girls a thank you gift for shining light on our association. We played with the MyIntent bracelets, where each person chose their “word” as a daily reminder of their intention in life!
