Woody, Buzz and the gang are returning to the big-screen, as Disney revealed that a “Toy Story 4” is on the way with John Lasseter back at the helm, the director of the first two films. Slated for a June 16th, 2017 release, in addition to the original storytellers of all three films, including Andrew Stanton, Rashida Jones and Will McCormack have joined the writing team. On the upcoming film, Lasseter said the following, \u201cWe love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don\u2019t want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what\u2019s gone before. \u2018Toy Story 3\u2019 ended Woody and Buzz\u2019s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another \u2018Toy Story\u2019 movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie\u2014and I wanted to direct it myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
