Michelle Obama Kennedy Center Honors

The Kennedy Center Honors were on Sunday and Michelle Obama killed it!

Despite all the praise we give Michelle Obama for her endearingly accessible, J. Crew-filled wardrobe, we live for those moments of high-wattage First Lady glamour. On Sunday night for her fifth Kennedy Center Honors appearance, FLOTUS delivered in a dramatic strapless Marchesa gown, a teal number with a flowing skirt and fitted bodice.

The biggest feature of this dress is the elegantly draped fabric pieces that highlighted those famous biceps.

As President Obama noted, “You can be stylish and powerful too — that’s Michelle’s advice.” Amen to that.

Let’s take a look at some of FLOTUS’s more classic style moments: She’s casual in J. Crew, On the cover of Ladies Home Journal Mrs. O wears a sleeveless, gold jacquard dress by Lela Rose, A bright blue one shoulder by Peter Soronen with crystal embellished waist band, and a lovely Red Print gown in Alexander McQueen.

So will Michelle’s Latest stand-out at the Kennedy Center Honors Make it into the history books? Time will tell, but we can all be sure, she has made us all think about fashion in a new way!
