Citizenship Through Naturalization
Naturalization is the process by which US citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen after he or she has met the requirements established by the United States Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
How to Apply for Naturalization
Are you eligible for Naturalzation?
- Have you been a resident for at least 5 years?
- Have you been a resident for 3 years and married to a US citizen?
- Are you currently on active duty with the armed forces of the U.S.?
Process
- Submit Form N-400 with supporting documents and the proper fees.
- Attend your biometric appointment.
- Attend your English and civic exam.
- Take your citizenship oath.
You can already be a citizen
You may already be a citizen of the United States if your parent (biological or adoptive) obtained US citizenship before you turned 18 years of age.
Your son or daughter may be eligible for U.S. naturalization, even if he or she was born outside of the United States, or currently resides outside of the United States.
We know the process
Determine if you qualify for naturalization.
If you are already a resident and meet all other eligibility requirements please let us help you with your request. We may prevent you from taking the English test, depending on your age and years of residence.
If you are already a citizen and have children under the age of 18, don’t let time pass. If you have a citizen parent but are over 18, there is still hope.
